Philip Batchelor
A London Silversmith who only recorded one mark, in 1770. He is known to have been still working in Tunstile Row, Lincolns Inn Fields in 1773 as a buckle maker but little else is known about him. I have only ever seen one other pair of tongs by him.

These tongs date to around 1772. They weigh 1 1/8 ounces and have no repairs. They are of relatively plain design, and reminiscent of a row of buckles, but the bow has a flared centre and an engraved vine design. There is a betrothal monogram of W over T * E
