with journeyman's Z mark
These tongs are a Victorian a copy of an earlier, Georgian style . There is a crest to the bow of a Bearded man looking to his right. The bowls are styled to look like acorns.The Journeyman's mark, a Z, can be clearly seen alongside the makers mark alongside makers' mark. The tongs date to 1859 and were assayed in London. They are 4 ins long and weigh 7/8 oz, and are in excellent condition.
