Makers' mark      with journeyman's Z mark

These tongs are a Victorian a  copy of an earlier, Georgian style but they have been made by the same method in 3 pieces later joined.. There is a crest to the bow of a bearded man looking to his right. The bowls are styled to look like acorns. The Journeyman's mark, a Z, can be clearly seen alongside the makers' mark. The tongs date to 1859 and were assayed in London. They are 4 ins long and weigh 7/8 oz, and are in excellent condition.
