Rack & Pinion Railway to the Achensee

From Jenbach in the Inn Valley a rack & pinion railway runs up the mountain to the Achensee. The railway was built in the 1880s and still uses the original rolling stock.

The train is pushed uphill with the engine at the back. The road zigzags backwards and forwards up the mountain, the train crosses it many times.
