Neuscwanstein is the most famous of the Imperial Palaces built by Ludwig II. It is a fairytale castle perched in the mountains with turrets towers and gables everywhere.
These photographs attempt to show its features. Above is the first sighting from the parking area at the base of the hill. Below from the top of the Horse Drawn Carriage ride - still well below the castle.
